Wow, it's been a crazy month so far but it looks like things are quieting down finally. Between a store wide sale for SBE's 4th anniversary and the extra activities that go along with that, having the fabulous opportunity to have our precious grandson stay with us for several days while his parents went on a cruise, getting the monthly newsletter ready for SBE, finishing up taxes and then having Hayden staying here while his Mommy was sick and having him get sick while he was here...well, it's been an event filled month for sure! I have managed to sneak in a bit of scrapping time though as I wanted to document Hayden's little vacation here with us as we did a lot of fun things that made us all happy. More of that in the near future though. With Hayden's first birthday approaching quickly, his mommy wanted to create a birthday party invitation for him that reflected who he is rather than something generic. This child has quite a personality and one of the things he has found interesting is animals..particularly zoo animals. His favorites are the tiger and the lion and shows preferences for them in many ways. He can do a pretty admirable rooooaaarrr and grrrrrr as well. Tracey Monette just added some darling doodles of zoo animals to the store at Scrapbook-Elements so I used those to build his invitation. The colors in Misty's Rowdy Boy set were perfect to go with the cute overalls and shirt he was wearing in the photo I chose to use. I think his invitation turned out well and definitely is a reflection of who this little guy is at this age. The invitations were ordered from Shutterfly as 4x8" photo cards in matte. If you check under the Solutions option at the top of the page at Shutterfly when you select one of the various types of projects available, you will find Digital Scrapbookers. This page lists the starting point for books, cards, and calendars with your original designs.
